Why is my husband such a lazy jerk?

Our basement flooded. He left 2 foot of water and a horrible stench in the house for 3 days while he took a fishing trip. It wasn't a paid trip or anything. My daughter and I had to keep a sump pump running the whole time to try and keep in out of the furnace unit. By the time he got back everything had black mildew on it and the whole basement had to be stripped out. Now half the basement stuff is upstairs in our living room and he won't complete the job. Our roof leaks and he can fix it but he won't. Our little boys need to practice baseball but he won't practice with them. I try to talk to him and he doesn't hear me. So then I talk louder....still doesn't hear me. Then I yell and then he says I'm biching. He will not do anything unless I "yell" at him. I sat one of his screwdrivers on the bathroom sink last week just to see if he would put it up. Didn't! I've had 3 back surgery's and some things I cannot do. You would think he would want to help do those things. The only things I really cannot do is pull clothes out of the wash machine and scrub the tubs. We have 3 kids too. He just goes to work then sits on his . I observed him for 3 weeks and not once did he start up a conversation with anyone. Not one person did he try to talk to. He used to be very polite and funny. Now he's a jerk!
