Dazzle video capture platinum wont show up on computer?

so i have hust bought a dazzle video captute device and installed the disc that came with it for pinnacle studios loaded it , then plugged the cables into the device not hard red - red yellow - yellow - white - white . on the computer it says i have the device full name and everything but on pinnacle studio's it lists it name but says "no input signal " so i have know idea what to do i am at my wits end and if someone can help be much appreciated
