Lovebugs are surrounding my house.?

I live down on the gulfcoast and it is lovebug season and they are surrounding my house. Honestly everyday it gets worse. There are so many around my house that it looks like my house is turing black. They are just clustering up all over. We are at the point where we cant leave our house cause when we open the door they swarm us. I know you cant really get rid of them. My question is why are they so attracted to my house when it looks like my neighbor doesnt have a single one around his house. Also my husbands parents house they might have some around their door but its nothing like my house they are honestly in the millions around my house. What makes them so attracted to my house over others. That is just driving my crazy.
